The Baker Family
Missionaries of Helps to the Western United States
Doug and Robin Baker arrived in Gillette, WY, in 2008, where they began their ministry as missionary helpers. Their focus was to encourage pastors and missionaries with pulpit relief, Vacation Bible School, summer camps, and construction projects. In 2010, the ministry of Western Baptist Missions Warehouse was born with the addition of a 2500 square foot warehouse that holds supplies intended to meet the needs of pastors and missionaries serving within a nine-state radius. Shortly after the establishment of the warehouse, the Bakers were blessed with an enclosed trailer which enabled them to begin delivering these supplies to the missionary. During their time on the field, Doug served as interim pastor at Prairie View Baptist Church, and has now accepted the pastorate of Jericho Baptist Church in Gillette. He is very active at the local nursing home and assisted living home, conducting four services monthly, and works with the inmates at the local county detention center. Mrs. Baker is also active in the ministry of the warehouse, with bookkeeping and correspondence, and teaches a weekly Bible study at the assisted living facility.
Doug and Robin are sent out of Wahoo Baptist Church, Murrayville, GA, and have been married since August 1985. They have two married daughters, and one grandchild.
