The Youngblood Family
Missionaries in Kiana, Alaska

David and Tammy moved to Fairbanks, Alaska in 2008, to assist Missionary Earl Malpass with Mission Air Care. It was here that they fell in love with the Last Frontier and in 2010, they surrendered to full-time ministry. Their first ministry in Alaska was providing temporary fill-in relief to pastors and their families throughout Alaskan villages. The Lord allowed them to serve in eight different villages before they moved permanently to Kiana, Alaska. Kiana is located just above the Arctic Circle, 90 miles east of Kotzebue. The Youngbloods have been serving the Lord with their family in this community since 2015. The Lord has greatly blessed their ministry through various outreach opportunities. Each week offers Sunday services, Teen Time and Sunday School, a Wednesday service, Kings Kids (Thursday), RU Recovery (Friday) and a monthly TEFAP distribution. During the summer months, they open the “Baptist Park,” which is a safe place for children to come play and hear about the Lord.

David and Tammy have been married since 1985 and are members of the Anchor Baptist Church in Pisgah Forest, NC.  They have three children, Jacob, Michaiah and Micah.
